In Cappadocia, balloons fly at sunrise and flights depend on the weather, wind above all. The decision is made close to flight time, and a flight can be cancelled.
The terrace of Cratus Stone Palace faces the Cappadocian landscape. The hotel’s own website says balloons glide over the hotel at sunrise, but this is not guaranteed on any given morning. Where a room view is stated, it is the garden or the street; details are on the room pages.
Balloon flights are booked at the Cratus Stone Palace reception. A flight lasts about 1 hour, and the whole experience, transfers included, takes about 3 hours.
Children under 6 are not accepted and pregnant women cannot join. Some operators charge an extra fee for guests over 120 kg. Balloon and tour bookings depend on weather conditions.
